A former spokesperson for ex-President George W. Bush received a brutal smackdown on CNN on Friday morning after he claimed Donald Trump is a greater defender of Israel than President Joe Biden.

Brought on to attack the president's decision to withhold offensive weapons from Israel to halt the Rafah assault, conservative Pete Seat claimed the former president would be doing a better job managing and dealing with the Gaza crisis.

That led Democratic strategist Paul Begala to bluntly reply "BS" before listing off Trump's tenuous relationship with Jews and his flirtations with anti-Semitic gadflies.

Responding to Seat's claim that Biden has driven a "wedge" among Democrats over how to deal with Israel, Begala argued that "Donald Trump praised Hezbollah on October 12th, right after Hamas' attack. He praised another anti-Israel vicious terrorist group, Hezbollah. Donald Trump broke bread with Nick Fuentes, who was reportedly an anti-Semite and a Holocaust denier."

"As already mentioned, he praised Adolf Hitler, according to his own chief of staff, a 4-star general," he continued. "But dear god, all of us who love Israel? How you could turn to Donald Trump is really beyond me and here it is again, insulting American Jews — it's a real stretch."
