ICE has lodged a detainer against the illegal immigrant accused of forcibly raping a child in Marlboro, according to federal officials who are slamming the Biden administration for releasing the “barbaric criminal” after previous arrests.
Lorenzo Lopez Alcario, 30, originally of Guatemala, is slated to appear in Marlboro District Court for a dangerousness hearing on Friday in connection with the “heinous crime.”
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against him, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Authorities arrested Alcario last weekend, with a not guilty plea being entered on his behalf at an arraignment on Monday. He has been charged with rape of a child with force; pose/exhibit child in sexual act; assault and battery; resisting arrest; and assault.
Alcario is accused of having sex with a child under the age of 16 in April.
The feds say Alcario “first entered the country illegally at an unknown date and location.” DHS has reported that police in Arlington, Va., arrested Lopez on July 30, 2017, on a charge of possession of Schedule I/II controlled substance.
A day later, ICE arrested Lopez after the Arlington County Jail released him, and less than two months later, federal agents removed him from the U.S. on an immigration judge’s order, according to DHS.
Lopez is alleged to have re-entered the country illegally under President Biden on June 17, 2022, the feds say.
“Lorenzo Lopez Alcario is a pedophile illegal alien from Guatemala who should’ve never been in the U.S. in the first place. He is being charged with committing a heinous crime – the rape of a child,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement on Wednesday. “Despite his previous criminal charges and deportation, President Biden released this barbaric criminal into American communities in 2022.”
“Under President Trump and Secretary Noem,” McLaughlin added, “ICE lodged a detainer to ensure this criminal illegal alien will not be allowed to terrorize American citizens and will deport this child predator to prevent further victims.”
In a criminal complaint connected to the alleged rape of the child, police say the victim was “tied, bound or gagged.”
“… And did compel such child to submit by force and against such child’s will, or did compel such child to submit by threat of bodily injury, and such sexual intercourse or unnatural sexual intercourse was committed while the victim was tied, bound or gagged,” the criminal complaint reads.
Under the charge of pose/exhibit child in sexual act, the complaint reads:
“… (He) did hire, coerce, solicit, entice, employ, procure, use, cause, encourage or knowingly permit such child to participate or engage in an act that depicted, described or represented sexual conduct for the purpose of representation or reproduction in some visual material, or to engage in a live performance involving sexual conduct.”
