Former Miami Vice star Don Johnson made an entertaining appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live where he dished on smoking weed in the White House and gambling with a former president
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, actor Don Johnson rehashed his wild days in the nations capitol from smoking weed and gambling with former president George H.W. Bush.
The former Miami Vice star recalled his fondest memories in The White House during an apperance on the late night talk show this week. The topic of conversation came up when Jimmy showed Don a picture of himself with former president Jimmy Carter, Chuck Leavell and Dickey Betts from 1975 at an Allman Brothers concert.
After seeing the throwback, the 75-year-old star hilariously replied: "I don't remember that photo, but we were all stoned." He then quickly corrected himself as he added: "Well I don't know about him. I don't want to cast any aspersions on the former president. God rest his soul."
Don went on to reveal that after working with the Allman Brothers on a concert during his 1976 presidential campaign, he said that they were invited to the White House, which is where "the fun began." And while they joked that not a lot of fun was had inside the White House, Don did mention: "I have heard Willie Nelson had fun there."
In this, he was referring to the time the country music legend smoked weed there on the roof of the historical building during the '70s. Jimmy then questioned: "Is that the kind of fun you had there? Did you smoke at the White House?"
The former Django Unchained star briefly paused and then admitted: "I don't know how to answer this. Well, yes ... I guess I did."
The Doctor Odyssey actor also dished on his friendship with former president George H. W. Bush. And while he confirmed that the 41st U.S. president wasn't a stoner, he claimed that he did dabble with gambling in his down time.
Don shared: "He wanted to gamble when we played golf out at Camp David. And so I took his money. I'll tell you something else: He's a trash talker, and he ran into a buzzsaw because so am I."
And while he did take the former president's money, Don admitted that it was "eighteen or 20 bucks." He jokingly went on to add: "But that's the best 18 or 20 bucks you'll ever get."
During his entertaining appearance on the show, Don dished on a number of topics including recently sitting court side at a New York Knicks game, meeting John McEnroe, his Netflix movie Rebel Ridge, the incredible popularity of Miami Vice, and much more.
Under the comments of the interview on YouTube, fans gushed over Don's age-defying looks and charming personality. One fan commented: "Thank you Don ! as much as i loved Miami Vice i loved hearing about your experiences at the White House !!!"
Another fan added: "Don Johnson aging like a fine wine. 75 years old and looks better than a lot of 60 year olds I know."
While a third chimed in: "Don J is just so genuine - a real nice guy. One of the few who has so much class. Good on you Don for keeping it real. And let's not forget how age has treated him, he is still super hot."
